uYup been going through the same thing will old drives and hd driver.
1st see if HD Driver locates the hard driver with its device finder program, Can't remember the name of it off hand.
If it does, then you can load HD DRiver utilities and start from there, partitioning and installing a boot strap. However, I have discovered that HD DRIVER (I am using version 6) can find, identify partition and install a bootstrap, but when it trys to boot it won't find the partitions.
I then returned to AHDI and it located and found the drive, partitioned it, and was able to install a useable bootstrap that found the partitions.
However with AHDI you need to have the scsi device #s in order.
Something that isn't necessarily required with HD DRiver.
Uwe is easily found on comp.sys.atari.st and is excellent with answering hd driver questions. I just try not to bother him, especially if I find another solution.
HD driver is excellent, and the support is terrific.
I would go to the newsgroup for more information, since I don't see him active here.
later Brian.
