GEM is indeed a very good idea! MiNT and Magic compatibility also, but what about those poor STE owners?
Why not using 2 modes : either a full screen non-gem mode, or a windowed gem mode.
- STe users will probably alway use the full screen mode, so if the cookie _MCH is equal to 0, the program will start in full screen mode
- TT, Falcon, Medusa, Hades, Milan or Phenix users will use GEM mode, so the program will start in this mode if _MCH > 0 (Chek also for MSTes!)
Of course, you can be able to set the mode to use at launch (E.g. by pressing <SHIFT> key during loading) and the default mode will be saved in a preference file...
BTW, i've got a name for the game : STorms!
