You shouldn't format IDE drives, it can damage them, all you need to do is partition it.......1Gb is a bit tto big for AHDI, I find that HD-Driver (now version 8.something) is the superior solution and believe me I've used loads....It is worth every penny it costs..

Any ideas on why a 1.09GB IBM 2.5" IDE drive would not like my Falcon? AHDI picks it up OK, but fails to format it (it gets through the format and then says 'Partitioning Drive' - for the last 9 hours) It had been formatted with FAT32 on a windows machine, so maybe it's just angry. I haven't tried the GeSoft utils, I wasn't sure they'd work with IDE. Must try that...
Failing that, Where can I get CBHD? Is it free?
