Ok, I have tons of Hard Drives... I wanted to get down to running some tests this morning when the family was out, but they didnt go, so had to give it a miss.
I have SCSI, ACSI, and IDe on the TT, and The STE Has an ICD Link, so I will be able to test the differences on 3 adapters, which will be fun, but obviously the SCSI v IDE wont be a fair test at all, however, I will do them if the program/s will let me.
Because I need to strip the ataris down to get the drives out, it is going to have to be at a time when the kids are not around, but if they are not going out over the weekend, I will do it all on saturday night as I need to get the Mac stuff from the ST anyway
Also if its helps, I will be testing under various O/S's too! - I notice that Magic gives a slight speed improvement with Disk accessing too, so whether this is just me thinking, and therefore hoping, I dont know? - I will try under MiNT, MultiTOS, Magic 2,3,4,5 & 6, and Debian Linux if I can. No promises though!
