HAHA!
Yes, I had a similar problem when I moved onto Magic 6!
What I suggest you do, is use the Command-line versions of Archiving programs, as a lot of them do Long Filenames perfectly ( I use LZH on the TT cos its tons faster than ZIP, and a dammed sight more reliable if I want to suddenly arc/unarc a load of stuff )
As for Pinball Dreams, do you know what archiver it was that compressed it?
It does help, if you know, then perhaps you need that archiver?
If you dont know, then could you tell me the first few bytes of the file, if you opened it up in a hexeditor?
Going by the first few bytes, you can almost always find out which archiver did the archiving, and you can then get that one, otherwise, just throw it into anything until it works!
Anyway, I have dozens of Atari archivers, and dozens more versions of each, and there are a lot of little differences that can affect it, and even if it says ZIP, or LZH, you might not be able to use a particular version of ZIP or LZH
Actually ZIP should work as they are all pretty much standard, and should be backward compatible ( Backward that is, not forward )
