MegaST2 do not have simm chips as standard. The mega is very similar to a 1040 st other than it has a blitter chip. It also has an isa bus I believe for math co processor boards, and some now very difficult to find graphics cards.
An internal harddrive will require a host adapter.
I am assuming you have a megast2 and not a megaste2.
