Hmm... I've also read that the only way to use the drive if you forget the password is...find the password!! There are companies that will delete the password, but they delete your data too unless you pay them extra... It works fine in my Tosh 110 so I don't know! It only cost GBP20 so it's no biggie... 500MB is fine for now, and I have about the same outside the box :) The drive, enclosure and cable only cost GBP8 so that was really cool..and it was formatted and used on a Macintosh, so I was surprised it worked on my falcy, given that MacOS 6 destroyed a perfectly good SCSI drive on my STe...
