I asked this very same question a few days ago, but in reverse so perhaps you might like to read the piece below, somewhere hidden among the other forum discussions. From the response I got I can say that all you (should) be able to do is remove the UK PSU and insert an American PSU unit in its place, however that means getting hold of one. Are you moving to the US soon, are you in the USA now looking for an Atari unit?
