It definitely says that "A Unix" is for the ST, but it does not point specifically at this particular one though, so...?
I know that there IS some form of Unix that can be run on the ST, as we had a similar thread before ( Started by myself ), but from what I did manage to gather, both from the thread, and looking through the web, was that it was not at all good in any way, compared to the 030 versions!
yeah, true about the MMU too! I seem to also remember that the MMU played an important role in allowing "Virtual Memory" to be made possible, and under Unix clones, Virtual Memory is a very important thing.
So, whether they have either done away with V.M, or tried to acheive it soem other way, I dont think I know?
I do have a very basic Linux on a couple of Floppies if you want, but I can tell you that (A) on 2 floppies its going to be crap. And (B) I have NEVER got it to run. Although as a (C) I have not really given it a real try.
I will pack the disks up into archives, and chuck it onto a download area for you by tomorrow night.
