Some Falcon like mine had such problems.
U can use some hardisc utilities like CENTEK one which test read/write access write/errors. U may have more informations.
Else, buy a centurbo 1/2 or 60 and your problem should be solved (furthermore, it's not that unuseful to get such a increased speed (68030+DSP) for music / direct 2 disk problems.
