IF you are talking about "looking stuff" (sorry poor term trying to differentiate OS from GUI) then the ST/TT, etc also used a "bolt on" to the OS (also in the ROM) called GEM which is a graphical interface like Windows with menus, icons, trash cans, etc, started about 15 years ago this system has been built on for many years and as mentioned other hybrids like Mint have come out. One thing that should be noted is that the system has ALWAYS been is 32Bit throughout which even Windows 98 con not claim and probably Win 2000 too (and I f%&king love that).
