www.spythis.com/cca is the crawly crypt archive, and they have much TT specific shareware and PD.
CAB is a nice browser, but really needs NVDI for display output because GDOS is too slow :) much serious software will work just fine on the TT, some works better - Calamus SL for example runs great in the 640x480 16 colour mode. The TT uses standard S-VGA PC monitors.
There's a program called B030 that does a good job of emulating an ST on the TT - I have used it to get Dungeon Master running, where it wouldn't before, although some games will be too fast at the 32MHz clock rate.
My advice is - don't think about it, just get it! I paid around $220 for mine (£140) from Germany, and apart from TOS 3.06 being in German (and Z and Y are swapped on the keyboard) it's fine. You can even put a large SCSI hard drive in it and run Linux on it, I plan to do that very soon. Then you can download an open source browser, and compile/run that. I think you can do that with netscape.
Good luck, and enjoy your TT. It's a sweet machine.
