Metadois will work with TOS1.2, I've set up 2.74 plenty of times....you need to create an icon in the desktop manually, as unlike later systems you don't have an <Install Devices> option.....highlight an icon, go to the menu at the top that says <Options> or something like that, click on <Install Icon>, give it the letter that Metados is installing the CDROM as (probably P:) make sure you use the right case, in this instance it has to be upper-case, then choose a good icon, there is one in there for MO disks that is quite good, so use it...then click OK, then save the desktop....
