The drive sits on three plastics and one metal support - the metal support just sits into a hole in the bottom, and if it becomes loose then you'll have trouble getting the drive back in. The support is a small brass cylinder, when you get the case open it just drops back in.

Lift the top half of the case up and to the right to get it off, making sure you've checked under the warranty sticker...
