I use an electric screwy driver all the time and never had problems. But i'm not 10:PPPP
This is the procedure, sorry if i'm repeating anything, but i've done tons of these. And not only the screws can hold the cover on!
flip the machine over, and you should have 7 screws to remove: 4 at the back of the machine and 3 at the front.
Also where the disk drive is you should see 3 screws in an 'L' shped layout, loosen the screw a couple of turns nearest the drive eject button.
When refitting the case tighten this drive screw up last, it also holds the casing on, although not designed to do so.
To remove the top casing; computer right side up with the space bar towards you: lift from the left handside of the machine (midi, cartridge end) and gently remove the cover from the drisk drive eject button.
Make sure there is no disk inserted otherwise it could be a little awkward.
Refitting the case: work from the right hand side so that the casing fits over the disk drive FIRST, everything else should fit neatly together.
