Yeah, I feel a little stupid now ( I always do though, so thats no difference! )
What I have done, is put the Magic XFS File into
C:GEMSYSMAGICXTENTION
and the CONFIG.SYS, and both DOS and BOS Files into C:AUTO
And it runs spot-on!!!!
Now, when I tried it last, I was using Magic v2 so whether this makes any difference I dont know, and also, I didnt use the XFS file, just the Programs, so this is obviously something there!
As it is, I am NOT using ANY kind of Program at all, just the XFS File in Magics Folder, and CONFIG.SYS in AUTO
Now, a couple of things it does not do, is display mixed case files/folders, only UPPER-CASE, and any illegal chars are converted to underscores, even spaces.
Now, this is no problem at all, but do you know a way around that?
The fact remains though, that I now have long filenames on CDROM, and thats what I wanted, and I am more than happy now.
Oh, the docs I have, are in German. So I cannot quite get my head round it all, so I looked at julians site, but I had trouble getting at anything like any docs! - Do you know of any English docs I can get hold of?
