 Subject: Getting Atari 2600 to Work

I have an old Atari Model CX2600A. I have read the troubleshooting checklist and tried everything but it won't bring up the game. I cleaned off some of the old dust and tightened some connections but all it does is bring up a black screen with lots of dots. If you have any suggestions of what to do or someplace to sent it to help get it working that would be very helpful.
