My mega STE boots up in 8mhz, no cache mode by default. It seems that you need to use the desk acc to set it to 16 w/cache after its booted.
I have an original protected paradroid 90 which wouldnt run on my falcon, or pacifist. Of the automation/pompey/medway cracked versions, not one will run on my falcon or pacifist, but one of them will run on winston (but crashes later).
My mega STE runs the original perfectly.
