Download a copy of Gemulator for DOS, and when you've got it setup how you like it, add this to your autoexec:
CD GEMUL8R
GEMUL8R < gemul8r.con
and save it.
Next, do this:
COPY CON GEMUL8R.CON [gemulator]
g[Ctrl+Z][Enter]
The point of this is: Gemulator sits at the first screen waiting for you to enter the emulator. Gemul8r < gemul8r.con pipes the 'g' command (for go) into gemulator,
so it will start automatically.
This is what I did with an otherwise useless 486 laptop, I have a STacy substitute :)
