Hint: Don't bother with the handheld stuff. The Jag case is full of Jag PCB (SMT, 6-layer) and cutting it up is a REALLY bad idea. That said, there's quite a lot you can do without completely destroying the mainboard; for details see my page (http://addie.voicegateway.net/bjl.asp)

or that of Matthias Domin (http://home.t-online.de/home/Matthias.Domin/englpage.htm)

Lots of fun stuff, including how to create your very own devkit, region switch (switches video output between 50Hz and 60Hz) and a reset switch. Multiple BIOSes are also possible, but I haven't bothered to modify either of my Jags with it as yet.

For more discussion on Jaggy stuff (although recently rather a lot of X-box/gamecube/ps2 bashing *sigh*), head on over to JI2 at http://www.atarihq.com/interactive/ . You'll find my assorted ramblings (along with those of other assorted knowledgeable people) as I create a new method of playing cart ROMs (of freeware / demo games, natch). Or just general Jag stuff. The residents (/inmates?)might be quite interested to hear your thoughts about Dragon, there it's almost universally considered the worst game on any platform ever :) (I don't have it, I can't comment)

Anyway, enjoy the Jag and (most importantly) have fun playing the games you do have.
