You can have mine if you want - the boards are all fine but the mechanism is shot, it won't spin CDs any more, and I have tried the 'pulling out the central hub bit' trick.
I don't think all the screws are there, and I have lost the plasticky bit the contacts a microswitch when the lid is closed.
But if that's any jolly for you, and you're in the UK, I can send it out to you.
