Yes, the doom1.wad (doom1 shareware), doom.wav, doom2.wad all works here.
For heretic I've only tested the heretic1.wad (shareware) and it works fine.
For hexen it doesn't seem to run with the shareware wad and I don't have the commercial.
For quake it works with the normal quake1 datafiles (commercial) I've not tried the shareware.
