It's way faster if you run it through VDI instead of XBIOS with NVDI running - but - The colours are messed up! It's enough to see that the framerate's about double, but it's not playable.
Some lucky sod with a video card (like the TC1208 - hehe) and NVDI might have better luck.
It's worse on the falcon - even in the native 320x200 video mode it's slower than the TT (which you would expect - half the clock speed)
I didn't try it with VDI output on the falcon though! I'll try that tonight.
I do have a Doom engine that uses the DSP on the falcon for texture mapping, and it's faster than the TT version, but it's not complete and you can't play it properly.
Remember that TT Doom is just a port from the Linux code, so it's all in C - even the PC version had some assembly code in there as well.
