To me it sounds like you have formatted and partioned the drive, but just not installed the harddisk driver.

HDDRIVER should not be in auto of your harddisk, but have a hddriver.sys file written to the root of your desired bootdrive. This is copied there at time of installation.

Run hddriverutil and select "install", chose the desired bootpartion (usually c), exit hddriverutil and reboot.
