About backing up your software: Most original games have been produced in large scale copy machines and they do tend to be very long-lasting.
It's hard to backup those games unless you have certain hardware (replica-box), so i guess the easiest way may be to download a cracked version somewhere on the internet and burn all those games on a CD. Since you own the original disks, this is not even illegal.

Most original applications disks are not write protected so you can back them up on your own. Simply copy them to all to a certain harddisk or ZIP-disk and put them on a CD, too.
