I have not owned one of these, so its a wild stab at helping you.
How far into booting can you get?
Try taking the battery out for a while to kill off its memory properly
Perhaps there is a program in the AUTO folder that is causing it to do this?
Have you tried to boot without any programs in ( Holding CONTROL will bypass the AUTO folder, and then if still held down it will also bypass the ACCessories )
It does not have a floppy does it? if it does, then try holding ALT to force it to boot from floppy?
do all the keys press down and come up ok?
A stuck key would normally get it to beep all the time, in one seemingly long bleeeep, and pressing any other key can often cure it and the system will then ignore the stuck key perhaps? - it did that on my old STE when a key got stuck on that.
