I have a few an did a bunch of experiments.
Here is the quick run down.
Asante - seems to be no one left on the planet that knows how they work. You need a SCSI analyzer to figure out the protocol. There is one person in Japan that reported on a BSD list that he had it partially worked out, but he doesn't reply to emails.
SonicSys - The specs are available via the web. BSD driver exists. I have one here...
One big problem. They report device not ready until you have sent them their SCSI init code. However HD Driver won't recognize the device, since it says that it's not ready. Kind of a catch 22, can't send the init to make it ready, because the driver software won't recognize it til it reports it's ready. So that gets rid of the SCSI lib options :< Anyone that wants to make a lib for scsi routines, email me and I'll help write a driver for this beast.
