When I had my first ST, I used the Amiga Screen on it, by simply hardwiring it all up, and I have done the same with my current STE, using an Amstrad 464 screen.
I had to do a tiny bit of altering of the actual signals though as they are NOT 100% compatible, but this was simply because the ST picture on the Amiga screen was smaller than normal, and in the top left of the screen, and the STE's signal was too dark for the Amstrad screen, and now, rather than the colours being a certain scale, the darker colours are too dark, and the brighter colours are too bright, but other than that, its great.
So, that means that they all have partially compatible signals from the RGB connections
The Amiga screen doubler simply alters the signals from RGB to VGA ( I think? - I was considering the same option some time back )
So, in theory, ANY R-G-B signals should be able to work with the screen doubler.
Or, the short answer:-
YES
