It's not just that. The 5200 was basically a 400/800 without the keyboard and with a different memory map.
As far as I know, anyway. Wouldn't mind importing one to the UK sometime. I still remember drooling over the mail order catalogues (around '84 I think it was) but they were left high and dry when Atari UK decided that it wasn't commercially viable to sell it over here.
