The best option you have as far as I am aware, for TRUE LINUX 68K, is Debian Linux.
I have that, and as far as I know, no-one has had any problems with it on reading ACSI Drives, but it DOES NOT run on the ST.
It needs 030 at least, and this means a TT if you have ACSI, because as far as I am aware, the TT is the ONLY Atari machine with BOTH SCSI and ACSI.
It reads both perfectly fine on mine.

Give me a few days to sort it though - I dont have any Disks left!
