First of all, thanks for the replies.
There were Single and Double Sided External Floppies. The one I use, is a Double Sided drive, so this shouldn't be a problem. And yes, I have my PC and ST together. The disks don't have to be very reliable, I can overwrite them with the disk images on my PC's harddrive at any time.
But in my case it doesn't work at all! Btw, the OS is plain old TOS 1.0, so could this be an issue? (My ST Model ist 16 years old!)
Using HD Disks would be much more convenient because it's quite hard to find DD Disks in stores nowadays, at least here in Germany.
As for using a new floppy drive, I assume you can't connect a PC floppy drive to an ST without difficulties?
