THe controller you refer to is a video board that mounts in the MEGA 4's internal bus. A Mega is the only computer with that style bus, and hence the only ST version that can use that particular monitor. If you do have a MEGA, it is very simple to open up and install. Once it is installed, you can have an SM124 high resolution monitor hooked up simultaneously for testing, booting, compatibility, etc. BTW, this is the setup that got ME hooked on the Atari platform, two pages side by side in Pagestream!
