I understand what you are saying Ricardo.. but my view is a little different. I really don't care what the majority of people use. I don't care if linux becomes a big hit or not. I Love atari too and I like Unix and MinT and stuff like that as well. I know most people won't use it. But most people don't know what a command line is or what any type of programming language looks like. They don't know what emacs is... they are totally technically illiterate.. so I am proud I am not one of them. They are plebs.. and its they who keep microsoft earning $. WebTV just makes me laugh.
Atari will never be back as a computer company ever. But Infogrames may release some good games using atari.. and if they call themselves atari.. well they may become famous to game players again. If the games are good enough we may even play them.:)
My hope for the atari is the community.. I think we will see new OS and programs and even hardware. It will come slowly... but it will come because our interest in the atari is now technical rather than just as a user. I think most pure users moved to PC sometime back. We use these for fun now. This is a better type of atari than any company.
