Having access to the internet is a great means to do so, Fred. After all, many early Atari users needed to rely on sparse support, inaccessible information, and our own imagination in many cases. Now, you can visit hundreds of sites dedicated to the Atari line of computers.

One of the best things you could do is to evaluate what you personally want to do with your Atari. Some people "get a hankering" to fire up the ol' Atari, and end up playing some of the old games, but are entirely lost as to where to go next-- or they eventually lose interest and the Atari begins to gather dust again... almost like they just needed a "fix" and are all set after that.

Once you have a better idea of what it is that caused you to "resurrect" your XL, you can head in that direction. Is it to play games? Is it for some other reason?

One of the primary reasons why I am starting up the Project is to find out just how far one CAN go with the Atari 8-bit line of personal computers. It was an amazing machine back then, and it continues to astound me in its simplicity and capacity to handle almost anything thrown at it. It can be modified, adapted, and more. And I want to discover to what extent, first-hand.

At the same time, I want to encourage those who are new to Atari, whether through obtaining a system for themselves or through an emulator, to discover this fantastic computer.

I'll be glad to assist you in any way I can, Fred!
