Anyway, yes, I often did some experiments with MIDI and 2 Ataris...
I even wrote some networking routines ( Routines, nothign you'd call usefull though ) which were fun.
As for Midi though, then using CuBase or similar with more Midi Outputs with an ST connected to one acting as something like a Light Synth, or even sampler, is a fairly good thing to mess about with
I tried them too, although as I was programmign everything myself, it was all complete rubbish, but fun never the less.
