In contrast to what Lord Gaiyan and Creature XL say, i recommend to NOT disable the fan completely.
I know that some Falcons have severe CPU heat problems and will probably take damage out of disabling any kind of cooling - even at 16 MHz.
There are 2 ways of silencing the Falcon:
- solder a resistor into the power leads of the fan. That will reduce cooling and at the same time reduce noise but still cool a little
- disable the original fan and put in another, less noisy one. An old 486 cooler will do and the best position for it is where the speaker is - or don't you disable it ? ;-)
