Ok, I have sorted the original STE Board out, and got that running, I am ( I hope? ) back on track, or at least The Hd hasnt shit itself yet.
One thing that bugged me, is that the Partition 2 problem still came for a good while, but I eventually cured that by a low-level format with Linux, and then re-do it from scratch with HD Driver.
Just realised we both use HDDriver 7.51, so I miss-read that.
Ok, I got some weird results with the CDROM.
I have a great TOS & MINT setup using ExtenDOS, but still cant get Magic to play? Neither data or audio?
However, I have managed a very poor Magic setup with Spin, it read the drives, and it plays Audio, but its bloody slow.
Now, under HD Driver, when I try to access anythign on the HD, it takes ages with some drives anyway, so perhaps thats linked??
So, ExtenDOS is ok for TOS/MiNT
SPin is ok for Magic.
I have not yet tried SPIN under TOS using the SLB Loader, but I will do sometime later.
I will also have this exact same SPIN setup put onto a Drive that plays faster to try it out.
The ExtenDOS and SPIN setups are safely tucked away, so if you want me to EMail them to you, just say.
If it would be easier for me to tell you, then I will need to see what goes where etc.
