What CD-ROM and what SCSI-adapter are you
using ?
I stumbled over exactly the same trap with a
Sanyo CD-ROM some time ago which only supports asynchronous SCSI and the Falcon only does synchronous - or the other way round, i forgot - and i simply could not access the CD.
It worked fine in a SCSI-PC, on Luebke's Mac, on TNT's Amiga, just not on MY Falcon.
I'm afraid this is exactly your problem.
The only cure is getting a different CD-ROM then.
