I beg to differ with the music fan as I have used a Nec 2A for years with the OmniSwitch and have both color and mono at the push of a button. Of course the machine reboots at the change of resolution but works. The NEC 2 was not the recommended monitor all recommendations were for the NEC 2A and it has worked like a dream. I use the 3D on my TT and the 3DS on my Falcon. These two brand new went for about 600$ but can be had used if found for around 50$ at this time.
