Well, well, well...
I am so happy that such a question has raised such strong answers.
First of all I would like to make one thing absolutely clear...
I have no intention of EVER leaving my Ataris... EVER!
I use My Ataris first an foremost, for exactly the resons raised, and lets be honest, when you are using Magic & Jinnee Desktop, and are developing WebPages using CAB and QED ( through OLGA ) name me one PC that can do what the Atari does? - you canot!
Anyway, I asked this question just to see what kind of responce I would get... While the responce was very positive towards the atari, I did think it was also very negative towards me. And I think that is a fair reflection since I asked such a question, but, what else would I expect?
I use My TT very seriously, I do pretty much everything I can on that, and while I can use the PC for other things, the software I have to do the job, is...well... bollocks compared to the Atari version!
I am sorry if I have offended anyone.
I dont see why it should have, but I recon it did.
I think it needed to be said though, and it does prove one thing...
ATARI is most definitely NOT DEAD
Its very much alive today, as it has always been
Oh, and as for the idea of emulation...
I have still yet to come across an Emulator that can compete with a real atari!
I have to disagree there.
All I have seen that is an advantage of an Emulator, is speed, and more memory, but other than that, its still just an ST.
There is more to Atari than just the ST.
Long live ATARI.
