The free internet service(s) is not dependant on the OS that it supports. The reason why they state that is because their installers use Internet explorer and automatically set up the networking connection. All you need to do is to have an account already and know what certain settings are. Then you will put these settings into STing and off you go.
You may need to use a PC to initially create the account (I know that with freeserve thats the case). Then when you have logged in, you need to write down the telephone number, gateway, dns, username and password etc.
