Well, I do agree 100% on part b as in providing a simple connection, but they are obviously needing certain things that the OS gives, which then also lets them use their security protocols.
Lets be honest, they dont even cater for Linux users, so what the hell chance do we have of getting anywhere with them?
BT were utter bastards when I asked for help in getting Linux to run with BT Internet, and the best they could offer was to send an engineer round to my house who would install Windows onto my computer! ( Obviously for a small fee - yeah, like the cost of a new car )
There is unfortunately no law that say that they have to do anything other than provide for whatever OS they want to!
The simple fact is, that if we dont like the way a certain company does something, then we just have to accept it, and use another company! - those are the facts!
I know its painful, but its reality.
