Your MegaSTe will only take 4*1mb 30pin simms.
If you want more than 4mb you need FastRam. Either as a part of an accelerator board (Such as the PAK/30, allowing as I remember 64mb extra memory) or as a stand-alone FastRam memory upgrade (I think it's called Magnum, and gives 8mb more, so a grand total of 12mb).
Where to buy these parts however, needs further investigation.
