NVDI works great and really sppeds thigns up, you should be able to select a large number of resolutions (whatever the card supports).

I think I have sen a project for a megabus in a standard ST but that was some time ago.

Your 8Mhz machine may be really slow at moving so much info around, I do not think it woudl be worth it.

Why not try and find a MegaSTE, TT or Falcon. They can all have new cards put in them and the TT and Falcon have modes more and above the standard ST three.
