Hey, wonīt "TOSters.com" fit alright?
IF we could gain license to use the FUJI logo
and ATARI name, the name of our machine could be:

Atari TOSter 0x0 (or G3/G4)
----------------

Did I mention "flexibility" in a previous poST?
I think thatīs an important issue, we should be
able to use different CPUīs on the motherboard!

Therefore, I suggest that our new TOS machine
(may I call it the "TOSter?") have
a slot for a CPU card on the MB, so we can choose
whether to use a 030/040/060, as will...
-There would be a suitable setup for everyone. :)
(030īs are ALMOST for free nowdays -060īs are NOT)

Then we could use this MB for experiments with
other CPUīs too, if someone (like me) want to.
Heck, we could make multi-CPU cards and stuff too...

Using a 030, we could as well have TOS 4.04 in
the ROMs, giving access to most Falcon softs. :-D
The FPU can be placed on the CPU card, no problem.
(would behave like a Falc, though VERY MUCH faster!)

With a 040, performance increases dramatically,
but itīs a rather expensive CPU, though worth it.

Used in the right way, the 060 gains more power
than anyone would ever need! BUT, itīs also a
very expensive chip, and most users wonīt need
it for most tasks. This is for the most demanding
applications, like... Video editing or heavy CAD?
(OK, AND some spectaculary 3D games, awright:)

Iīve heared the 060 lacks one of the instructions
in the 030īs set. Dunno how important that is?
Anyway, it has a bunch of new instructions, not
found in the 2 others... AND it also executes TWO
instructions in ONE clockcycle!! Beat THAT?!

Out for now
