That depends on which Atari you are referring to. If you are referring to the extremely popular and succesfull 2600, then yes it did have analogue controls in the form of the Paddle controllers, and Driving Controllers. The Joysticks for that system are not analogue of course.
The 5200 standard controller was Analogue however, much to the dismay of the gaming public as the controllers proved disfucnctional and annoying with their 'non centering' sticks. The 5200 also had a Trak-ball controller which was also analogue, good for games like Centipede and Missile Command.
The 7800 does not have any analogue controllers as far as I know.
