Basicly the stardard stuff is on a mobo and the CPU sits on the bus.
This is effectivly what the CTT060 does, it is nearly a complete computer but uses the Falcon as a bus to the other hardware (for compatibility).
I have seen 386 and 486 computers that have identical mobos and the CPU is on an ISA card, there is no differance in the CPU sitting in an ISA slot or hardwired into another end of the bus.
As for the 060, the missing instructions can be emulated no problems, it would easily make up for its ablilities else were. However the FPU is pants and the later (faster) 060s did not even have one.
Wonder if it is possible to take and current mobo and add a PCI card with some kind of 680x0 chip on bourd.
