Hi,
no, of course not with an ST.
What the ST can still do very good is nostalgic games
as well as simple applications like texts and tables.
And of course: MIDI!
What the ST can also do is Internet and similar
things - if You have at least 2 MB RAM and a hard drive.
But it's very slow...
What the ST can surely not do is recording songs to
burn them on CD. This is only possible with a Falcon.
The 16 MHz of the Falcon make everything 4 times as fast
as on ST, as well as this machine has a DSP Copro which
allows realtime-soundeffects with CD-quality.
Not even a 32 MHz TT can do this; The Falcon also has
quite acceptable grafix (VGA), so there's only
few optical difference to a PC ...except that the
PCs alwas crash and are bad to configure and the OS
(Windows or Linux) are both crap.
I think with a 66 MHz Milan040 or a 80 MHz Hades060
there's really nothing You can't do...
But with an ST...well, I still love the STs, they are
cheap and there are great games. But that's all.
