Hmm, I am more of a happy medium kind of person, there is comprimse.
I do not like peese crap any more than the next person but we can still use some of the technoligy, why re-design the wheel?
For example, the Desse sound card looks nice and has been desinged for Atari clones and should even work in TT/Falcons with a PCI slot (if it happens). Should we dump the card if someone finds that the chipset is used on some other card that is for a PC?
Again, I do not like to see this happen but then at what point do we draw the line?
We also have the problem that us Atari people have never had the money, and that the Amiga has always been the rich boys toy. We do still have some advatages (MIDI is still good) but it will not be many more years when it will not compeat at all with speed, quolity, etc.
We also could do with finding new pople, not sure how but there must be a market somewere for a new machine for people that hate hmm, new machines.
