>yes I would pay for atari stuff
>but only if it does the job
OK, what specific jobs do you want it to do?
This is very interesting, and itīs also the
reason why I asked people what they want to
see. If Atari corp had asked the users when
they planned the Falcon, it wouldnīt been a
16bit, and non of the other limits would be
there either. I think I have a pretty good
clue whatīs needed(well...), but there again,
so did Atari corp, so thatīs why Iīm asking.
The TOSter will be able to do anything you
could be asking for(within reason), now tell
me what you want it to do? Iīll listen...

>I will install magic
Hmm, on what? an old pese? Tellya what;
I have it installed on an old AMD 266MHZ,
just to see what itīs like. I found this:
-ITīS HARDLY MOVING AT ALL! And it can run
about 2% of my Atari software collection :(
(very very slow and jerky)
So, if you wanna try MagiC, better off doing
it on some MAC with a 040 CPU, thatīs moving
pretty good in comparision. Infact, itīs the
fastest setup you can have, today. :)
And it runs good softs like SMURF and CAB aso
May I syggest some?
The Quadra series is the best, Q800 is "king"
The LC series uses a non-FPU 030/040, still
pretty fast. LC450/460=030, LC475 has 040.
The Centris 610 has no FPU and run at only
20MHZ, but somehow its benchmarks are almost
as good as the Quadra 630!? Dunno how...

TOS to replace Windoze? Like haveing GEM replace dos?
Well, itīs like this;
TOS is our operative, and GEM is our "windows".
winslows is NO operative, itīs just a shell
for dos, which is their "operative".
Just like GEM is our TOSīs graphic environment.
(there are other, better desktops)
But yes, you could replace dos/win with
TOS/GEM, if you replace the intel thing
with a 68K too. -But you would have to
replace the rest of the MOBO too, of course... ;)
Pretty easy to do though;
1) Throw out your dos box.
2) put an Atari where it used to be.
-Hey presto, done! :-D hehehe
